FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Are the condos available for purchase or for lease?
CAR SPACE car condos are available for purchase only. Our condos are real estate assets with individual titles that buyers will own and can later sell to others.
Will there be any dues or fees for condo owners?
YES. There will be Condo Owner Association fees. These fees cover almost everything outside of your condo and include the cost of an on-site manager. Additionally, all condo owners are required to hold an Executive or Corporate Membership with CAR SPACE. Executive membership rate is $3,000 per year and Corporate Membership is $7,500 per year (includes 4 Executive Memberships for employees).
Can I modify or upfit my car condo?

Yes! Your condo is your asset and we encourage you to exercise your creativity and turn it into the space of your dreams. There are some restrictions on usage which will be outlined in the Condo Owners' Association handbook.

How large are the car condos?
CAR SPACE car condos range from 750 to 1,950 square feet. All units are at least 25' wide and 30' deep. Main level units have 24' ceilings and a mezzanine. Lower level units have 11' ceilings and no mezzanine.
If I want a larger unit, can I buy two and combine them?

Yes! You are allowed to purchase more than one unit and combine them. Please let our team know if you plan to do so and we can work with you on the construction process.

What amenities come in each car condo?
Each car condo comes with air conditioning and heating which is shared with the building to keep temperatures within a range. Car condos are pre-wired with rough-ins for 110V and 220V outlets and internet. Car condos are also pre-plumbed to allow owners to add bathrooms, sinks and showers. Car condos come with matching garage doors, a covered pedestrian door, and more. Basic lighting and a fan is included in each unit.
Do condo owners pay for utilities?

Water is covered under the Condo Owners' Association annual dues. Each unit is sub-metered and owners will receive a monthly electrical bill from CAR SPACE for their use.

Are there restrictions on the use of my car condo?

Yes. Car condos are zoned light industrial by the town of Apex. Please refer to Apex zoning handbooks for your specific uses. Car condos cannot be used as residential condos and lived in. Additionally, CAR SPACE prohibits condos to be used as high traffic businesses such as retail store-fronts (ie, barber shop, clothing store, etc). Please refer to the Condo Owners Association handbook for information on restrictions.

Can I lease out my car condo to someone else?

YES. Tenants must follow the rules and regulations of the Condo Owners Association and acknowledge them upon lease execution, but beyond that, you are free to lease your unit.

Can I work on my vehicle in my car condo unit or use it for a hobby/workshop?

YES. You can do almost anything you would ordinarily do in your home garage, as long as your work or hobby does not reasonably interfere with the enjoyment of other condo occupants and does not violate any of the restrictions in the association rules.

Will the development have a security system?

YES. CAR SPACE is a private community with strong security features such as controlled access, security lighting, plus video of the drive aisles and key perimeter areas.

Do the car condos have fire sprinklers and fire alarms?

YES, All car condos and the community lounge have fire sprinklers.
